The airport bus
- Run only by LU-NA (Luna Travel), every full hour, 24 hours a day, in both directions.
- In town it stops behind the Palace of Opera and Ballet, next to Skanderbeg Square.
- 400 lek or €4.50 one way. Pay on board in lek or euros, cash or card; no booking needed.
- Each ticket includes two large suitcases and a bag; bulky items are 500 lek more. Night buses can run short of luggage space.
- A second line runs from the airport to the South-North bus terminal for 300 lek, in the daytime only.
The official taxi
- Auto Holiday Albania runs the airport's taxis: yellow cars with the AHA logo, waiting outside the terminal 24 hours a day.
- The airport puts the fare to the centre at about 2,200 lek one way and the ride at 20 to 25 minutes, depending on traffic.
- The operator's own site (tiataxi.al) advertises fixed prices, €22 from the airport to the city centre, payable in euros or lek, by cash or card. Phone +355 69 999 9300.
Ride apps
- Uber and Bolt don't list Albania among their cities.
- Local apps work instead. Speed Taxi says it covers Rinas airport and shows a fixed price before you confirm; Wikivoyage also lists Patoko, Clust and VrapOn.
Arriving late at night
Both the hourly bus and the official taxis run around the clock, so a late landing is not a problem for getting into town.
